Guild Rules
Guild Rules Guild rules may be subject to change New Members New members to the guild are subject to a 21 day trial period as a "Little Git". If you violate the rules set out below we reserve the right to remove you from the guild without prior notice. Asking for Gold Guild Members will under no circumstances ask to borrow gold via the guild chat channel.Any transaction must be done between the 2 people concerned. It is done entirely at the lenders own risk. If you don’t know the person don’t lend them gold, much easier this way. Level requirements The GITs will not accept players into the guild who are lower than level 40.This is to ensure that the guild roster does not become excessively overcrowded with unused alts. There are occasional exceptions to this rule, however requesting an officer to invite someone lower than level 40 will more than likely be greeted with a polite No! Forum use All Guild Members are required to be active on the forum as information relating to your guild is discussed here.Ignorance of the Guild / Raiding Rules is not an excuse and people who are found not to be using the forums regularly face being given a lower priority in guild activities. Grievances Guild Members are asked to treat other GITs with the respect they deserve. For the most part most members are mature, however we do have some younger members in the guild, so please keep language as clean as possible until after the watershed. Any member found harassing another member being abusive on the guild channels (including the use of offensive language) will be removed from the guild without warning. If you yourself are being harassed please speak to an officer in game and they will deal with it appropriately. Raid Rules In order to raid with the GITs there are certain requirements a player must comply with first. Raid rules may be subject to change Addons You are required to have the basic addons required to attend the raid, these must be installed prior to joining the raid. Raid Leaders and Assistants have addons to check that all the relevant mods are installed. Should a player not have the required mods installed and working at the beginning of a raid they will be removed and replaced with another player. A list of required addons can be found in the Guild Information Forum (WIP). Ventrilo The GITS have their own personal Ventrilo Server kindly provided and paid for by Omab. It is a requirement of raiding that all players attending a run are logged onto Vent in order to hear tactics and changes in tactics dependant on certain circumstances. We realise that the idea of talking to a bunch of strangers maybe somewhat daunting therefore there is no requirement to join in the banter as long as you are able to hear the Raid Leader then this will suffice. Players who are not logged onto vent at the start of a 10 man run will be asked to join immediately or leave the raid party. Before the raid Upon joining the guild an officer will speak to you about your priorities in game, this may be Raiding/Instancing , PvP , etc . Your response will be logged and priority on raids will be give to those who have stated that prefer to instance as opposed to PvP. This is not a discriminating against those who have stated there preference lies outside PvE events, it merely allows those who joined the guild specifically for this purpose to enjoy the game. br> Basically anyone who is eligible for a raid or instance can raid with the GITs. The only priority will be given to the Raid Leader (unless a suitable replacement is available ) and those who have stated that their priority within the game is to experience PvE. If a run is over subscribed we use common sense to resolve the issue. It is not possible for all Guild Members to run every run that is organised, therefore some unavoidable disappointment is inevitable. We ask whilst it may be frustrating you bare with the Guild as those who miss out will be given priority in the next run. Occasionally it is necessary to tinker with the classes required for certain runs, this is not done for an officer to accommodate one of their friends this normally occurs when the officers have discussed the tactics for certain events within an instance and certain classes will then take priority over others. We have an officer who monitors guild characters progression via reputation gains etc to enable the officers to learn more about the suitability of a specific person when joining the raid. Whilst we have no equipment requirements the Officers do expect that when you are not raiding you use your time wisely in order to improve your equipment, therefore increasing the chance of the guilds progress within a specific instance. The Raid You must turn up at least 15 minutes prior to the raid invite time given in the sign-up post (usually server time), this allows the officers to plan for any replacements that are needed. Players that have not logged by 10 minutes before the start of the raid may be replaced by a reserve player to allow the raid to continue on time. Raids usually start at 2000 hours server time prompt therefore all players should ensure that they are in the instance fully repaired at 5 minutes before the start time. Raids should usually go on for 2 hours or more, or sometimes less if it is decided no further progress can be made in between bosses. If you are unable to stay for the full duration of the Raid please sign as reserve and give someone who can stay the opportunity to run. A ready check will be given if the raid looks like being longer, to give raid members the oppurtunity to say they do or do not wish to carry on. Whilst your raid Leader will explain General Tactics before each boss encounter it is your responsibility to make sure that are aware of what happens not only with Bosses but with trash mobs as well. Therefore please ensure you read up before joining a raid for the first time, if you are in any doubt about what is about to happen please speak it as it could potentially wipe the group. A player who turns up to each run week after week without attempting to improve their own equipment will be spoken to by the raid leaders and advised on the best ways to improve. If no further improvements are seen then the character in question will not be able to raid until such time as they have made a concerted effort to improve. Equipment Allocation In 5 man instances we are pretty relaxed and common sense should prevail when rolling on equipment. If any BoE equipment drops that is not required by anyone in the party all members should greed the item. The winner of the drop is then entitled to sell the item via what ever means they see fit. This said we do not tolerate trading to fellow guild members in any means and will be frowned up. If you want to sell an item sell it , if you prefer to help the guild out , give it to a guild member, no doubt the favour will be returned one day. Loot in 10/25 man instances such as Karazhan or Gruul's lair is done via the Master Loot method , we do not have a DKP system in place and the Raid Leader will announce which classes are entitled to roll on the piece of equipment. Should primary classes not require the equipment it will be offered to others in the raid. Primarily the decision as to which class is eligible to roll for loot is taken from here (use the left drop down list to access different instances). Priority may sometimes be given to established members of the guild. During your trial period (normally 2 to 3 weeks) you will still be eligible to roll for drops, however a should a full member of the guild need the item they may be given priority. This is to stop people joining the guild and then disapearring with the equipement which would benefit other guild members. Please be considerate when rolling on items, if a piece of equipment will improve your overall stats by a couple of +spell dmg or +attack power think of others who may need the items to make a massive difference to their own stats. Officers will not stop anyone eligible rolling on a piece of equipment however doing so may make you very unpopular with your fellow guild members. Any items which are BoP and not required will be given to an enchanter who will disenchant the equipment and any relevant materials will be placed in the guild bank, or rolled for at the end of the raid if the guild bank doesn't require that item at present. Any Green/Blue items which are BoE may also be allocated to the Master Looter. Green items will be either vendored for gold or disenchanted with the materials going to the guild bank for later use. Recipes/Patterns and BoE Blue items can be requested direct to the Master Looter at the end of the raid. If you are allocated one of these items it must be for your own personal use and not to be sold for profit. Anyone found selling items this way will have their guild bank and raiding privileges revoked for a period of 2 weeks, further offending will result in being removed from the Guild. If you have any questions about the rules, please post on the forum or ask an officer in game. |
